Caterpillar’s supply chain inventory in central Queensland has been significantly upgraded with the docking of United Heavy Lift’s marine vessel ‘UHL Faith’.

Northern Stevedoring Services (NSS) was called on recently in Mackay to unload more than 435 Caterpillar components comprising of new disassembled dozers, wheel loaders, graders and dump trucks, NSS general manager Mark George said.

“These machines are integral to our regional economy and NSS is honoured to be involved,” Mr George said.

The vessel was loaded in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.

NSS is regional Queensland’s largest supply chain management provider.

Its assets combine to provide the most comprehensive end-to-end stevedoring, transport and logistics services for oceangoing cargoes in regional Queensland.
