The first four holes drilled along the Aquila trend at Mount Oxide since the initial Aquila discovery have extended the system north, according to an update today from True North Copper.

True North (ASX:TNC) said this shallow copper-silver-cobalt zone now spanned more than 500m of strike length, confirming Mount Oxide as a new, large-scale copper system with significant potential for further growth.

It came as the company announced initial assay results from its Phase 2 drilling program at Mount Oxide, 140km north of Mount Isa.

Results include:

• 103m at 0.53 per cent copper, 0.1 per cent cobalt, 2.6g/t silver from 19m downhole, including 10m at 1.76 per cent copper, 0.30 per cent cobalt, 6.7g/t silver from 106m.
• 72m at 0.55 per cent copper, 0.16 per cent cobalt, 5.6g/t silver from 124m, including 5m at 1.68 per cent copper, 0.19 per cent cobalt, 11.1g/t silver from 136m and 5m at 1.24 per cent copper, 0.37 per cent cobalt, 10.3g/t silver from 185m.

In total, 16 holes for 4338m were completed along 900m of the 1330m-long Aquila trend at Mount Oxide, with further results pending.

“Mount Oxide continues to deliver,” True North managing director and chief executive officer Andrew Mooney said.

“Extending mineralisation to more than 500m along the Aquila trend, with further assay results pending from the Phase 2 drilling program, confirms we’re uncovering a significant new copper-cobalt-silver system with great grade, real scale and growth potential.

“While these results give us confidence to start thinking about what project development at Mount Oxide could look like in future, our priority remains on realising the full exploration potential.

“Maintaining that growth focus will ensure we do not constrain what could become a transformational discovery for True North and its shareholders.”

Further drilling at the Acanthis and Apollo trends will also be completed as part of the Phase 2 campaign, which remains on schedule for completion in mid-November 2025, weather permitting.
