The Odin–Skal–Valhalla group of uranium deposits is located about 40km north of Mount Isa, within the highly mineralised Mount Isa Inlier.

Together, these deposits form part of the broader Isa Uranium Project, which is owned by Paladin Energy through its subsidiary Summit Resources.

The project hosts one of the largest undeveloped uranium resources in Australia, with the Valhalla and Skal deposits containing the majority of the mineralisation, while Odin represents an additional nearby satellite deposit.

Uranium occurs primarily within albitite-hosted mineralisation, a geological style associated with large uranium systems worldwide.

The mineralisation forms extensive lenses along major structural corridors within altered volcanic and sedimentary rocks.

Exploration and drilling over several decades have defined a substantial uranium resource exceeding 100 million pounds of uranium oxide (U₃O₈) across the combined deposits.

Development concepts have examined both open-pit and underground mining options, with processing potentially involving conventional uranium leaching methods to produce uranium oxide concentrate for export.

Despite its advanced exploration status, the project has not progressed to development because uranium mining is currently prohibited in Queensland.

However, the Odin–Skal–Valhalla deposits remain a significant long-term uranium resource should regulatory conditions change.
