Red Mountain Project

The Red Mountain Project is a gold exploration and development project located in Central Queensland, within the highly prospective Auburn Arch geological region, an area that hosts several significant gold deposits west of Bundaberg.

The project is 100 per cent owned by Zenith Minerals and represents a relatively recent discovery, first identified in 2017.

Red Mountain is considered an intrusion-related gold system, with mineralisation hosted within a large breccia pipe and associated rhyolite and granite units.

Geological similarities have been drawn between Red Mountain and major Queensland gold deposits such as Mount Wright and Mount Rawdon, highlighting its potential scale.

Exploration drilling has confirmed a broad, continuous gold system with strong vertical extent and zones of higher-grade mineralisation. Results to date indicate the system remains open at depth and along strike, suggesting further growth potential.

Metallurgical testwork indicates the gold is largely free-milling, with favourable recovery rates using conventional processing methods, supporting potential economic viability.

Although still at the exploration stage, ongoing drilling programs are focused on expanding the resource and defining higher-grade zones.

Red Mountain is emerging as a promising large-scale gold project within Queensland’s established gold-producing regions.
