Lightning Minerals acquired the Mount Turner project, 15km north-west of Georgetown, in 2025 through a takeover of Lotus Minerals.
Located within the Georgetown Inlier, Mount Turner hosts a large-scale gold system along the Drummer Fault, a mineralised corridor extending about 14km.
Several shallow oxide pits were mined for gold in the 1990s along the Drummer Fault.
The Mount Turner gold project comprises granted exploration permits EPM 27170 and EPM 27525.
