The Mount Oxide Project is a copper-focused exploration and redevelopment project located about 140km north of Mount Isa.
The project is owned by True North Copper, which acquired the asset in 2023.
Mount Oxide is centred on a historical copper mining district, where mineralisation was first discovered in the late 1800s and mined intermittently through underground and open-cut operations during the 20th century.
The project hosts a high-grade copper resource, including the Vero deposit, with mineralisation also containing silver and cobalt credits.
Current exploration is focused on defining a district-scale copper system, with drilling programs targeting extensions of known deposits and new discoveries such as the Aquila prospect.
Development concepts include potential open-pit and underground mining, supported by nearby infrastructure including processing facilities and power from regional operations.
