Mount Mackenzie Project

The Mount Mackenzie Project is a gold-silver development project located in Central Queensland, approximately 140km north-west of Rockhampton.

The project is owned by QMines, which acquired the asset in 2025 as part of its strategy to establish a regional mining and processing hub.

The project hosts a shallow gold and silver resource, with current estimates of around 3.3 million tonnes grading approximately 1.4g/t gold and 8.4g/t silver, containing about 150,000oz of gold and 900,000 ounces of silver.

Mineralisation occurs within an epithermal gold-silver system, characterised by broad zones of near-surface ore suitable for open-pit mining.

Development studies have focused on a low-cost open-cut operation, with plans to potentially transport ore to a central processing facility at Mount Chalmers as part of a hub-and-spoke production model.

Ongoing drilling programs continue to expand the known resource and identify additional mineralised zones across the project area.

Although still in the development and study phase, Mount Mackenzie is considered a promising near-term gold project with strong potential to support future production.
