The Mount Dromedary Project is a high-grade graphite development located about 130km north of Cloncurry.

The project is owned by Lithium Energy, which acquired a 100 per cent interest in 2025 as part of its strategy to build a vertically integrated battery-materials business.

Mount Dromedary hosts a JORC-compliant indicated and inferred resource of around 12.7Mt grading approximately 14.5 per cent total graphitic carbon (TGC), making it a high-grade natural graphite deposit by global standards.

The mineralisation occurs within graphitic schists of the Proterozoic Corella Formation and forms part of a broader graphite corridor that includes nearby deposits such as Burke and Corella.

Development plans are focused on a potential open-pit mining operation, producing graphite concentrate for use in lithium-ion battery anodes and energy storage technologies.

The project is also being integrated into a broader Battery Anode Material (BAM) supply chain, targeting export markets in Asia, Europe and North America.

Although still in the exploration and study phase, Mount Dromedary is considered a strategic critical minerals project, with strong potential to support Australia’s growing battery materials industry.
