The Mount Cannindah Project is an advanced copper-gold-silver exploration and development project located about 90km south of Gladstone.
The project is wholly owned by Cannindah Resources and is considered the company’s flagship asset.
The project hosts a substantial JORC-compliant mineral resource of around 14.5Mt grading about 1.09 per cent copper equivalent, containing copper, gold and silver mineralisation.
The deposit is interpreted as part of a large intrusive-related system, with geological features suggesting potential for porphyry-style copper-gold mineralisation, a deposit type associated with major global copper mines.
Mineralisation begins at surface and remains open along strike and at depth, supporting potential expansion through ongoing drilling. Development concepts have focused on a conventional open-pit mining operation, with studies assessing the economic viability of extracting and processing ore on site.
Recent exploration has identified additional high-grade zones and a growing footprint of mineralisation, indicating the possibility of a much larger system. Although still in the exploration and evaluation phase, Mount Cannindah is considered a significant emerging copper-gold project with strong potential to contribute to Queensland’s future critical minerals supply.
