Liontown Project

The Liontown Project is a gold-silver and base-metal exploration and development project located in North Queensland within the historic Ravenswood–Charters Towers mining district.

The project is owned by Sunshine Metals and forms part of the company’s broader Ravenswood Consolidated Project, which hosts multiple gold and volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits.

Liontown contains a polymetallic resource with mineralisation including gold, copper, zinc, lead and silver, typical of VMS systems formed by ancient hydrothermal activity on the seafloor. Exploration drilling and resource modelling have outlined significant mineralisation, including a resource of about 790,000 tonnes grading about 4.3g/t gold for roughly 108,000 ounces at the Liontown prospect alone.

Recent drilling programs have intersected zones of high-grade gold and silver and identified feeder structures that could host additional mineralisation beneath the existing resource. These results suggest the system remains open along strike and at depth, providing potential for resource growth.

Sunshine Metals is advancing mining and development studies at Liontown as part of a strategy to develop near-surface gold resources that could potentially support future small-scale mining or satellite production within the Ravenswood gold district.
