Stage One of the HPA First facility in the State Development Area in Gladstone is in production, while Stage Two is under construction.

The Stage One precursor production plant applies Alpha HPA’s (ASX:A4N) licensed solvent extraction and refining technology to produce a range of high-purity aluminium products in small commercial quantities.

This includes aluminium nitrate, high-purity alumina (HPA), nano HPA, and high-purity aluminium hydroxides.

Stage Two is described as the world’s largest single-site manufacturing facility for high-purity aluminium materials.

The 10ha facility will use the latest in process control systems and automation, with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes of HPA equivalent per year.
