The Greater Duchess Project is a large copper-gold exploration and development project located about 70km south-east of Mount Isa in North-West Queensland. The project is the flagship asset of Carnaby Resources and covers roughly 1900sq km of highly prospective ground in a region with a long history of copper mining.

The project targets iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) mineralisation and Tick Hill-style gold systems along a mineralised corridor stretching more than 100km. Several deposits and prospects have already been identified, including Mount Hope, Nil Desperandum, Lady Fanny and Trekelano, where drilling has intersected broad zones of high-grade copper and gold mineralisation.

Current mineral resource estimates total about 27–29 million tonnes grading roughly 1.3 per cent copper with associated gold, containing hundreds of thousands of tonnes of copper metal.

Development studies are underway, including a pre-feasibility study assessing potential open-pit and underground mining scenarios. Due to its proximity to Mount Isa’s established rail, processing and smelting infrastructure, the project could potentially supply copper concentrate to existing facilities in the region if development proceeds.
