Eloise Mine

The Eloise Mine is an underground copper operation located in North-West Queensland, about 60km south-east of Cloncurry within the Mount Isa mineral province. The mine is operated by AIC Mines and produces copper concentrate with gold and silver as by-products.

Mining at Eloise is conducted using underground methods, with ore extracted from a series of steeply dipping copper sulphide deposits hosted in volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The operation accesses the orebody through a decline and uses modern underground mining techniques to extract mineralised material at depth.

Once brought to the surface, the ore is processed at an on-site concentrator where it is crushed, ground and treated through flotation to produce copper concentrate. The concentrate is transported by road to the Port of Townsville for export to international smelters.

Eloise has been in operation since the mid-1990s and remains an important copper producer in Queensland, contributing to the region’s long-standing base-metal mining industry.
