The Dianne Project is a copper redevelopment project located about 160–260km north-west of Cairns and about 100km south-west of Cooktown. The project centres on the historical Dianne copper mine, which operated briefly between 1979 and 1983 and produced exceptionally high-grade ore averaging about 22.7 per cent copper, making it one of the highest-grade copper mines ever developed.

The deposit is interpreted as a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system hosted within the Hodgkinson Province. Modern exploration and drilling have identified both shallow oxide copper mineralisation suitable for open-pit extraction and deeper high-grade sulphide zones that could support future underground mining.

Current development plans focus on restarting the mine using a relatively low-cost operation based on open-pit mining and heap-leach processing to produce copper cathode.
