Develin Creek Project

The Develin Creek Project is a copper–zinc exploration and development project located about 90km north-west of Rockhampton in Central Queensland. The project covers two exploration tenements over about 272sq km and is owned by QMines following its full acquisition of the asset in 2024.

The deposit hosts several high-grade volcanogenic massive sulphide (VHMS) copper-zinc systems within the Rookwood Volcanics. Key prospects include the Sulphide City, Scorpion and Window deposits, which contain mineralisation of copper and zinc with by-products including gold and silver.

Recent resource estimates indicate around 4–5 million tonnes of mineral resources grading roughly 1 per cent copper and 1 per cent zinc, with a significant proportion classified in the higher-confidence indicated category.

Development studies have considered potential open-pit and underground mining scenarios, with ore likely to be processed using conventional flotation methods to produce copper- and zinc-rich concentrates. The project is being assessed as part of QMines’ broader hub-and-spoke development strategy centred on the nearby Mount Chalmers processing facility.
