The Cracow Mine is an underground gold operation located in central Queensland, about 500km north-west of Brisbane and about 60km south-west of Theodore. The mine sits near the small township of Cracow within the Cracow goldfield, an area known for epithermal gold mineralisation.

Mining at Cracow targets high-grade gold veins hosted within volcanic rocks. The deposit is mined using underground methods, with ore extracted through a network of declines and stopes. Once brought to the surface, the ore is processed at an on-site treatment plant where gold is recovered through crushing, grinding and carbon-in-leach processing.

The mine was originally developed by Newcrest Mining and commenced production in 2004. It has since changed ownership and is currently operated by Aeris Resources. Gold produced at Cracow is poured on site as doré bars before being transported to refineries for final processing.

Cracow remains an important gold producer in Queensland and supports employment and economic activity in the surrounding rural region.
