Latest Toro haulage model boasts 30-plus enhancements
Sandvik has unveiled the latest offering in its 63-tonne Toro haulage line, the TH663i I Gen2 underground truck.
The updated truck incorporates more than 30 enhancements designed to improve reliability, productivity, operator safety and total cost of ownership in underground mining operations, according to Sandvik.
“Customers are looking for predictable performance they can rely on every shift,” Sandvik Mining product line manager, load and haul Esa-Pekka Kantola said.
“With Toro TH663i I Gen2, we have used years of underground operating experience to refine a proven platform and help customers improve productivity, increase availability and control their cost per ton.”
The OEM said performance data from underground operations showed measurable improvements compared with earlier TH663i models.

Reference data indicates 25 per cent shorter mean time to repair and 12 per cent longer mean time between failures, resulting in more than 170 additional operating hours per truck annually.
The many updates in TH663i I Gen2 span multiple areas of the machine, including engine, electrical, powertrain, software and structural systems.
Together, Sandvik said the updates were designed to increase availability, enhance durability, improve serviceability and support lower cost per tonne and total cost of ownership throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Toro TH663i I Gen2 can be combined with Sandvik digital and automation technologies, including My Sandvik Digital Services and AutoMine solutions.
