The first holes drilled at the Mount Rawdon West project highlight a large-scale mineralised system at the Kaa prospect, according to Killi Resources.

Killi has completed six diamond drill holes for 1402m along a 1.8km gold-copper-silver trend at the project, inland from Bundaberg.

The initial three holes had delivered assays with maximum values of 5.9g/t gold, 40.8g/t silver and 3.7 per cent copper, the explorer said.

“The drill results and observations mimic the typical style and distribution of vein networks and alteration we would anticipate in an epithermal system,” Killi chief executive officer Kathryn Cutler said.

“This reinforces what we have seen expressed at surface and that we are on track with our early-stage exploration to unlock a new system.

“Assays remain pending for three holes, which will provide further data to assist vectoring and the next phase of drilling.”

Highlights from the first batch of assay results include:

• 0.5m at 5.9g/t gold, 21.1g/t silver and 0.7 per cent copper from 136m
• 0.6m at 0.3g/t gold, 37g/t silver and 1.6 per cent copper from 34m
• 2.45m at 0.44g/t gold, 7.27g/t silver and 1.1 per cent copper from 129m
• 1.1m at 0.1g/t gold, 20.3g/t silver and 1.8 per cent copper from 23m, including 0.5m at 0.24g/t gold, 40.8g/t silver and 3.7 per cent copper (sample pictured above)

Killi has also completed an IP Survey at the Baloo prospect at Mount Rawdon West.

Data is being processed from that survey over a copper-gold-molybdenum soil anomaly.
