Iltani Resources is picking up the pace at its Orient silver-indium project, with two RC drilling rigs on site.

Iltani plans to complete 115 RC drillholes for 16000m as part of its current program of infill and expansion drilling at Orient, in the Herberton district of North Queensland.

“Drilling is well underway at the Orient silver-indium project, with both RC rigs onsite and drilling,” Iltani managing director Donald Garner said.

“To date, we have completed 13 RC holes for 2312m drilled. The team on site are sending a batch of samples to the Intertek assay lab (Townsville) every three to four days, with each sample dispatch containing samples from approximately five drill holes.

“Assay results are pending, and we expect to receive the first results in early June.”

The Orient drilling program aims to:

• Infill the Orient East and Orient West resources to demonstrate mineralisation continuity and upgrade resource categories.
• Extend the mineralisation along strike at Orient East and Orient West to increase the resources.
• Further define mineralisation in the “Link Zone” between Orient East and Orient West.
• Test other targets including Orient North and Vein 1 to determine geometry, width and grade and economic potential.
• Complete drill testing of VTEM targets, curtailed by wet season onset last year.
