High-grade copper hits keep coming for Carnaby

Mount Hope is continuing to deliver as Carnaby Resources drills around the clock with three drill rigs to extend its high-grade copper-gold discovery, according to managing director Rob Watkins.
He was commenting as the company released new assay results, including a hit of 138m grading at 2.1 per cent copper and 0.3g/t gold. This intercept at the Boomerang lode included 39m grading at 3.6 per cent copper and 0.5g/t gold.

“Exceptional broad and high grade-assay and pXRF intersections from the Boomerang and Chalcus lodes clearly demonstrate strong continuity and remain completely open along strike and at depth,” Mr Watkins said.
“Mount Hope is rapidly evolving into a major high grade copper gold discovery favourably located in Australia’s premier copper mining district.”
Mount Hope is part of Carnaby’s Greater Duchess copper-gold project, south of Mount Isa, which has also produced the Nil Desperandum and Lady Fanny copper-gold discoveries.

- MHDD103 assays; Boomerang lode 138m (true width about 41m) at 2.1 per cent copper, 0.3g/t gold Including 39m (TW~12m) at 3.6 per cent copper, 0.5g/t gold, and Chalcus 28m (TW~8m) at 1.2 per cent copper, 0.3g/t gold
- MHDD110 assays; Binna Burra 41m (TW~17m) at 2.0 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold, Boomerang 48m (TW~15m) at 2.1 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold and Chalcus 31m (TW~11m) at 1.8 per cent copper, 0.4g/t gold
- MHRC084 assays; Boomerang 46m (TW~15m) at 2.2 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold including 35m (TW~11m) at 2.9 per cent copper, 0.2g/t gold
- MHDD147 pXRF readings; Boomerang 100m (TW~34m) at 2.6 per cent copper including 68m (TW~23m) at 3.6 per cent copper
- MHDD133W3 pXRF readings; Chalcus 137m (TW~37m) at 1.5 per cent copper including 53m (TW~14m) at 2.8 per cent copper
- MHDD133W2 pXRF readings; Chalcus 71m (TW~21m) at1.3 per cent copper including 49m (TW~14m) at 1.7 per cent copper.
