Green and Gold Minerals reports high-grade copper, silver, tin and indium results from XRF rock chip analysis at its Mount Gossan and Siberia targets in the Herberton region.

The company has its sights set on identifying a stand-alone large-tonnage copper, silver, tin and indium resource, or group of resources, within its Herberton Conductor Metals Project in North Queensland.

Significant XRF results from the recent sampling include:

• 23.3 per cent copper, 4.2 per cent tin, 126g/t silver, 419g/t indium, 0.2 per cent tungsten in sample SI031 (Siberia)
• 24.7 per cent copper, 281g/t indium, 0.9 per cent tin, 57g/t silver, 0.06 per cent tungsten in sample SI032 (Siberia)
• 21.7 per cent copper, 293g/t silver, 558g/t ndium, 0.4 per cent tin, 3.7 per cent zinc in sample SI034 (Siberia)

Green and Gold (ASX: GG1) said the Mount Gossan breccia had never been drilled, and was up to 210m long, 125m wide and strongly anomalous in the target metals.

It describes the Siberia vein system as featuring 5km of outcrop with high grades and substantial resource
potential.

Historical drill results there include:

• 8m at 2.6 per cent copper, 39g/t silver, 0.3 per cent tin from 15m (SPH15)
• 3m at 77g/t silver, 0.7 per cent copper, 0.7 per cent tin, 4.7 per cent zinc, 2.3 per cent lead from 20m (SPH21)
• 6m at 1.2 per cent copper, 31g/t silver, 0.2 per cent tin from 33m (SPH22)

The company plans to drill at Mount Gossan and Siberia after its upcoming Copper Hills – Chillagoe drill campaign, which is scheduled to commence later this month.

The Herberton Conductor Metals Project, about 100km west of Cairns, is unexplored in the modern era, and Green and Gold is looking to emulate the success of neighbouring explorers (Iltani Resources and Dover Castle Metals) that have recently delineated large resources from the prolific mineral occurrences found across this region.
