Golding secures Saraji civil works contract

Mining and civil contractor NRW Holdings has announced about $240 million in contract wins, including work at BHP Mitsubishi Alliance’s Saraji mine near Dysart.

Subsidiary Golding has been contracted for work at Saraji that is expected to run until December and employ about 90 people.

The scope of works includes excavation of about a million cubic metres, 200,000 cubic metres of backfill and 400,000 cubic metres of environmental rehabilitation work.

Golding will also be involved in the construction of a new levee, access road and other works at Saraji.

NRW has also been contracted for construction work at Rio Tinto’s West Angelas mine in WA’s East Pilbara to support the development of the A West 1, A West 2 and A West 3 deposits to support sustaining mining from 2026. The contract is scheduled for completion by November 2025.

Subsidiary DIAB Engineering has been successful in securing the structural mechanical piping construction package for the Mount Weld expansion project.

NRW Civil has also secured the first phase of the bulk earthworks and civil construction contract for Rio Tinto’s Coastal Water Supply Sustaining Project and a range of other works in the Pilbara region.
