Sunshine Metals has confirmed high-grade mineralisation extends for more than 400m at surface at the Francis Creek prospect, part of its newly acquired Sybil gold project.

The company said 13 rock chips have been assayed following initial mapping and sampling at Francis Creek, with results including 17.85g/t gold, 13.90g/t gold, 11.56g/t gold, 9.49g/t gold, 6.73g/t gold, 5.09g/t gold and 1.81g/t gold.

“The rock chips are a further validation of the gold-rich vein system exposed for more than 400m at Francis Creek,” Sunshine managing director Damien Keys said.

“The samples allow us to get our eye in ahead of drilling at Francis Creek, planned for August 2025. The team has made substantial progress in a short period of time.”

Sunshine (ASX:SHN) announced a $1.225 million agreement in May to buy the Sybil project, 135km west of Townsville, from a private owner.

It describes Sybil as underexplored ground that is highly prospective for Pajingo-style gold mineralisation.

The company plans a high-resolution drone topographic survey at the site this month.

The detailed topography and high-resolution air photos will be used in drill planning. Historic drill collars will also be validated.
