EOIs open for CQ’s Boulder Creek wind farm

Expressions of interest are open for work packages on the $600 million-plus Boulder Creek wind farm development, 40km south-west of Rockhampton.

Stage 1 will comprise 38 wind turbines (228 MW), with construction expected to begin early this year and reach completion towards the end of 2026.

The full development is planned to include up to 60 wind turbines, with total output up to 372MW.

Proponent Aula Energy has appointed GE Vernova as the wind turbine manufacturer (OEM).

Boulder Creek wind farm has received Queensland State Development Approval and Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC) approval.
