GBM Resources has intersected high-grade gold outside of the current 309 deposit mineral resource estimate at its Twin Hills project in the Drummond Basin.

The company has three drill rigs operating across the Lone Sister and 309 deposits at Twin Hills in its Stage 2 drilling program.

Significant assays results include:
▪ 21m at 2.50g/t gold from 158m (TNDH026) including 4m at 9.24g/t gold from 165m
▪ 14m at 2.99g/t gold from 194m (TNDH026) including 5m at 6.86g/t gold from 195m

“Definition of the larger mineralised system at 309 is progressing well, with drilling continuing to support resource growth potential beyond the current MRE, while also improving the company’s understanding of the broader mineralised system and potential higher-grade zones at depth,” GBM Resources (ASX: GBM) chief executive officer Daniel Hastings said.

“We are encouraged by the continued discovery of new zones well outside the existing MRE, particularly within the upper portion of the orebody.

“The company aims to expand these new zones to grow the open pit MRE at 309.

“In addition to the near-surface resource growth opportunity, the company is refining its multielement geochemical and structural models to assist targeting of higher-grade mineralisation at depth.

“The system is growing, with the assay results and the geology increasingly supporting that interpretation.”

GBM’s flagship projects in the Drummond Basin hold about 1.84 Moz of gold in JORC resources (across Twin Hills, Yandan and Mount Coolon).

Preparations are underway to also drill the Yandan deposit, which hosts a mineral resource of 0.44Moz at 1.1g/t gold, including 0.20Moz at 5.7g/t gold.
