Deep drilling delivers at Mount Cannindah
The drilling program underway at Mount Cannindah is the gift that keeps giving for Cannindah Resources, with the latest assays showing excellent gold grades from a hole which has already delivered a massive copper hit.
The deeper section of Hole 3 has delivered an intercept of 11m at 3.4g/t gold. This includes 3m grading 7.15 g/t gold (at 575m-578m) – with 1m as high as 10.5 g/t gold, and 1m at 8.3g/t gold (567m to 568m down).
The company said this hole had already delivered a copper intercept of 1.17 per cent copper equivalent (0.89 per cent copper, 0.26 g/t gold and 15.2 g/t silver) at 493m.
It has resulted in a major expansion to known copper, gold and silver mineralisation at the project.
“In spite of drilling the Cannindah system to great depths, we have not yet reached the limit of the mineralisation, encountering shows of copper, elevated silver, and extensive intrusive-driven alteration and sulphidic breccia to the bottom of all deep holes drilled to date,” the company stated.

discovery, well outside the current resource outline.
The Mount Cannindah project lies south of Gladstone near Monto. The existing JORC resource for the main Mount Cannindah mine portion of the project was determined in 2011 at 5.5Mt at 0.93 per cent copper.
The company began a new 1450m drilling program in August 2021. This was planned to extend the current JORC resource, as well as test the continuity of higher-grade copper zones within the project area, and possibly locate new areas of interest for follow-up and infill drilling.
Cannindah has made major revisions to the original planned drilling program after intersecting copper mineralisation over hundreds of metres in the first seven holes.
