Dart Mining is planning a new 5000m round of reverse circulation drilling at the Triumph gold project as work continues apace on a 7000m diamond drilling program underway at the site.
The explorer also has its sights set on kicking off drilling in July at the Coonambula antimony-gold project, where it has entered a farm-in venture with Great Divide Mining.
Dart said today that five diamond drill holes were now complete at Triumph, with sulphide mineralisation and alteration intersected within all holes.
Drill metres achieved per shift had steadily increased from about 15m to 20m per shift, with the number of shifts spent drilling also increasing significantly, the company said.
Additional soil sampling and rock chip analysis has been undertaken across the Dents and Bonneville areas within the Triumph gold project, highlighting new regions of potential mineralisation to be followed up with RC drilling.
“The company is progressing activities on all fronts,” Dart chairman James Chirnside said.
“Drill metre rates have improved and further drill planning is underway with an expansive RC program being designed to accelerate exploration.
“Regional exploration activities and targeting work across the Triumph gold project is delivering results and generating significant additional drill targets.
“The company has been active with investor engagement as well as corporate development activities. We are progressing discussions on several of our Victorian portfolio assets, and have completed due diligence on the Coonambula project joint venture with Great Divide Mining.”
Mr Chirnside said the company was looking forward to releasing assays from the first 10 diamond drill holes at Triumph in May.
Dart recently announced it had completed its due diligence enquiries in relation to the advanced Coonambula antimony-gold project.
Dart will undertake initial drilling to infill existing high-grade antimony-gold drill intersections at the historic Banshee antimony mine with the intent of working towards a JORC-compliant resource of antimony-gold at the earliest opportunity.
The Coonambula project is located about 130km Dart’s flagship Triumph gold project, where it is advancing its initial 7000m diamond drill program.
Comprising six exploration tenements, it lies 70km south-east of the Cracow gold mine and 25km south-west of the Eidsvold goldfield.
Dart will initially take a 15 per cent holding in the tenements by paying Great Divide $250,000 in cash, extending to 51 per cent by conducting a minimum of 4000m of drilling and preparing two geological and resource reports over a two-year period.
