The results of downhole electromagnetic testing at the Trekelano site in North-West Queensland have raised excitement at Carnaby Resources.

The work was completed on drill hole CBRC012, which intersected a very broad zone of copper gold mineralisation of 164m at 0.5 per cent CuEq.

Carnaby said today the downhole EM had highlighted a large untested off-hole conductor down plunge of the main Inheritance orebody at the site.

Two drill rigs are ready to restart drilling at Trekelano and will now target high priority extensions at Inheritance and the historical Trekelano mine. 

“We are extremely encouraged by the ongoing drill results from Trekelano, which is shaping up to be at the forefront of Carnaby’s high grade copper gold development assets,” managing director Rob Watkins said.

“We are particularly excited about the large off-hole EM conductor at Inheritance and look forward to drilling that target shortly along with maiden drilling of the historical Trekelano mine extension where spectacular high grade copper gold intersections remain completely open.”

The company is acquiring the Trekelano site from Chinova Resources. It lies within a 20km radius of Carnaby’s existing Greater Duchess deposits, boosting the scale of that advanced copper-gold project.
