Cannindah Resources waves its golden ticket

Cannindah Resources is highlighting the amount of precious metals being encountered at its Mount Cannindah project as gold prices soar.

“Gold is having a good run at the moment in terms of its pricing so it is important not to lose sight of how the gold content at Mount Cannindah may assist in the determination of the ultimate value of the project,” executive chairman Tom Pickett said.

Drilling within certain areas of the Mount Cannindah breccia showed high-grade gold over a number of metres, he said.

“The exciting part will be determining whether this continues in the new target areas yet to be explored to the south-west, which have been discussed in recent releases as we explore the significant copper-gold potential at Mount Cannindah further.”

Significant results include 3m at 28.87g/t gold, including 1m at 81.6g/t gold and 107g/t silver from 450m downhole and a surface gold zone of 24m at 2.11g/t gold including 0.5m at 22.7g/t gold.

The Mount Cannindah project, located near Monto in Central Queensland, has an established resource of 5.5Mt grading at 0.93 per cent copper.
