Alma Metals (ASX:ALM) has wrapped up its 2025 drilling program at Briggs in Central Queensland, with further strong mineralisation observed in the final hole, 25BRD0038.

This hole was drilled 80m north-west of hole 25BRD0037, for which partial assays identified 222.2m at 0.26 per cent copper, 48ppm molybdenum and 0.72g/t silver from 9m downhole.

“The 2025 drilling program at Briggs has been a great success, delivering long intervals of strong visual copper mineralisation, confirming the scale and continuity of the Briggs deposit and validating the decision to commence a prefeasibility study,” Alma Metals managing director Frazer Tabeart said.

“The initial assays received for the upper part of hole 25BRD0037 support what we’ve seen in the core, and we are particularly encouraged that the visually better part of this hole and all assays from 25BRD0038 are still to come.

“With assays expected early in the new year, we look forward to building on this momentum as we move into a significant year of drilling and PFS advancement during 2026.”

Alma Metals is funding exploration and evaluation at Briggs under an earn-in joint venture agreement with Canterbury Resources.

The company said drilling in 2026 would continue to test strong copper anomalism in the soils to the north-west of the recently completed drilling, forming the first part of the high-priority infill drilling program supporting the prefeasibility study recently approved by the board of directors.
