Ballymore Resources (ASX: BMR) said the first two holes of a new drilling campaign at its Torpy’s discovery near Chillagoe had extended mineralisation closer to surface.

The North Queensland explorer intersected broad zones of massive to semi-massive sulphide, carrying silver, lead, zinc and indium, in both holes.

Hole BTPRC010 returned 14 metres at 76.6 grams a tonne silver, 3.43 per cent lead and 2.32 per cent zinc from 76 metres.

That included three metres at 249.6 grams silver and 12.19 per cent lead, while single samples graded up to 434.4 grams silver.

Hole BTPRC011 returned 29 metres at 71.3 grams silver, 3.64 per cent lead and 2.19 per cent zinc from 105 metres.

Ballymore said the two holes had tested up-dip extensions of known lenses and supported its model of multiple high-grade shoots.

The results were the first from a 22-hole, 2,673-metre campaign drilled in June, with further assays still pending.

The company had drilled the program after resuming work in May, following a prolonged wet season.

Ballymore’s maiden 2025 campaign of nine holes returned intersections including 23 metres at 215.6 grams silver and 8.55 per cent lead.

Torpy’s sat within the historic Chillagoe mining field, about 150 kilometres west of Cairns, where silver and lead were mined early last century.

Ballymore said the shallow, high-grade nature of the mineralisation supported the potential to define a Mineral Resource in time.

Recent rock-chip sampling returned up to 696 grams silver and 79.2 per cent lead from historic mine waste, the company said.

The drill intervals were reported as downhole lengths and did not represent true widths, which the company said could be up to half as wide.

Torpy’s formed part of the broader Ruddygore project, one of several Queensland gold and base-metal projects the company held.

Managing director David A-Izzeddin said the results had extended high-grade mineralisation and pointed to further targets across the district.

“Torpy’s continues to deliver. These latest results have extended high-grade mineralisation closer to surface and provide further evidence of multiple high-grade shoots. Importantly, these are only the first results from a much larger drilling campaign, with numerous additional intersections still awaiting assay.
