Agripower assets up for grabs after receivers appointed

Receivers are seeking expressions of interest in Agripower’s Conjuboy mine and 200ktpa Charters Towers processing facility (pictured above), built to produce Agrisilica fertiliser.
David Osborne and Tony Miskiewicz from KordaMentha have been appointed as receivers and managers of Agripower Australia (in liquidation) and Agrisilicon.
Agripower holds a fully permitted mining lease for the Conjuboy project, with an estimated resource of 54.7 million cubic metres of diatomaceous earth.
It has been run as a simple open-cut operation requiring basic mining fleet, with the mined material trucked 320km by sealed road to the Agripower processing facility.
The processing facility was developed at a capex cost of about $80 million and is located on a significant parcel of freehold land, providing scope for expansion.
Non-binding indicative offers for the acquisition and/or recapitalisation of Agripower and its assets are sought before 10am on September 18.
